On August 25, with the instruction from the State Grid Xinjiang Dispatching and Control Center, the energy storage equipment of the 55,000-kilowatt optical storage project in Heshuo, Xinjiang Branch of CHN Energy Guohua Investment, began to be charged, marking that the project formally entered the stage of grid-connected operation.
The project is located in Heshuo County, Bayinguoleng Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with a planned installed capacity of 50,000 kilowatts (kW), with an afliateda 5,000 kW/10,000 kWh energy storage project. The photovoltaic side of the project is installed with 156 sets of string inverters with a single capacity of 0.32 MW, which are sent to the 110 kV booster station through two 35 kV collector lines; the energy storage side consists of two sets of 2.5 MW electric control pods and two sets of 5 MWh battery pods, which are sent to the 110 kV booster station through one 35 kV collector line. After completion and commissioning, the average annual power generation capacity will be about 99.51 million kWh, the annual equivalent utilization hours will be about 1,990 hours, and about 30,600 tons of standard coal will be saved annually, which has good economic, environmental and social benefits, and plays a positive role in the protection of the local environment and the reduction of air pollution.
